The leaves are turning yellow. How to correct this?

Caroline,

Yellowing leaves may be due to drought or soggy wet conditions that exclude oxygen from the roots. They may also be a sign of leaf diseases if there are also brown spots on the leaves. These diseases can be controlled by a fungicide. Your Home Depot garden center folks can direct you to one for roses. Finally, the plant may be needed nitrogen. Try giving it a boost with a liquid product such as Miracle Gro to give it renewed vigor again.
