Gooseberries are highly prized for their sweet-tart flavor. They generally ripen in July. The plants are slow growing, but once established are quite prolific. Try "Captivator" or "Colossal" offered by Raintree Nursery, 391 butts Rd., Morton, WA 98356. Phone (306) 496-6400
