A week back I purchased an apple sapling from Home depot .Napervile and planted in my garden at naperville as per instructions given in the slip attached. I went to another reputed shop to check up apple saplings where in the note attached they had clearely in bold letters indicated that apple trees are not self pollinated and another tree shoul be planted for pollination. no such clearly visible note was in home depot sapling. had it been there I would not have purchasedd that ao purchased two. After that I went through the instructions in the gardening club against 'apple' where it is said that the second tree should be such that it flowers at the same time at the first one. How can I know at the sapling stage itself?

What I have to do now?

the type of apple tree I puchased is semi dwarf red delicious apple

Golden Delicious is a good pollinizer for red delicious, as is Snow Drift crabapple if you'd like a different kind of tree.
