The Q&A Archives: brown spots

Question: There are small brown spots with a dark center, maybe a hole on my Hummingbird Vine. The spots are kind of working their way up from the lowere part of the plant.

Answer: It sounds like a fungal or bacterial infection. Start with a fungicide to see if that halts the progress toward the upper parts of the plant. If not, take a sample of some of the infected leaves to your local Cooperative Extension office or Master Gardener clinic for positive identification of the disease, along with control strategies.

Good luck with your garden!
