My Japanese red maple is losing it?s color what could be the cause and how can I reverse it?

Many of the red leafed Japanese maple cultivars will naturally fade to green over the course of the summer. It is part of their charm and continuing interest in the landscape; they turn color again in the fall as part of the display. There is no way to reverse it.
