On my plant there is one or two leaves that are yellow; what does that mean?
There is one stem that has grown with no leaves and is three or four inches taller then the whole plant; what does that mean?

It's normal for some of the leaves to turn yellow. Simply cut them off. The longer stem is a reproductive stem. It may flower for you!

Best wishes with your asparagus fern!
