The Q&A Archives: fertilizer

Question: What fertilizer do I use for flowering trees?

Answer: Jennifer,

Your best fertlizer is really just what you'd use for turf, a product with a 3-1-2 ratio of nutrients. This provides a little extra vigor and the potassium that such plants need. A soil test is the best way to determine your soil's current nutrient status and therefore what might be needed in what amounts.
