Can I plant rose bushes now for next year? I would like the mini rose bushes. None of my bulbs I planted last fall bloomed what did I do wrong? |
If your bulbs did not bloom, they could be planted too deeply, or the foliage last year was cut down too soon. Bulbs collect the energy they need to produce flowers from the current foliage. Allow the leaves to die down by themselves to assure the bulbs have adequate stored energy to produce flowers next spring. Miniature roses are generally available all summer long so if you find some in your local garden center, you can plant them in the yard immediately. Best wishes with your garden! |
