The Q&A Archives: clamatis

Question: Can I plant a clamatis in the full sun?

Answer: Yes you can plant Clematis in a location with full sun all day. I would avoid afternoon-only sun because it is stressful on plants to suddenly recieve intense direct sun at the hottest part of the day. Be sure to keep the soil evenly moist like a wrung out sponge and shade the roots with a generous layer of organic mulch.
