A Kalanchoe was dry and leaves have turned yellow and brown. What do I have to do in order to fix it? I watered it and put it in a window that gets late afternoon defused light, but the leaves have turned even more yellow and brown. I had cut off the tips of the brown leaves, but that didn't help. The leaves are waxy except for the part that is dry dead brown tips. What can I do to save this plant?

Tammy,

Don't overwater it or you'll end up with root rots that add more insult to injury. Give it time and slightly moist soil. Trim off dead growth and wait for some new shoots to start to form. Make sure it gets fairly decent light levels, but direct sun is not required.
