What does overwintering mean? And is it something I should do in Southern California Zone 10?

In southern California where it rarely freezes, you don't have to worry about taking tender plants indoors to overwinter. In colder regions when gardeners are growing frost-tender plants, they normally take them indoors to winter over.

Best wishes with your garden!
