| Dave, Crabgrass can be prevented with preemergence products applied in very early spring. Once it is up and growing you can't kill it without harming your lawn too. I would mow and ignore it for now as you build a stronger lawn. A dense, healthy lawn will choke out annual weeds like crabgrass over a year or two. Thanks for the question.
