I have a 12 acre of lawn wich I would like to give a dose of compost. Is there a machine of some sort to spread it evenly over a large area? |
The traditional of way of applying any top dressing to a lawn is to place it on the lawn at regular intervals with a shovel (a shovelfull every square yard or so) and then rake it out evenly using a flexible tined rake. Mowing the grass quite short makes it easier to rake out evenly. If you core aerated the lawn just before top dressing then the raking will help break up the plugs or cores as well. |
