| I'm putting in a pool in my backyard. I'll have an area about 7' x 25' to plant shrubs and tropical plants behind the pool. I live in hot, humid Houston TX (and really wet right now). What plants would you recommend? |
| Frank, There are many great plants for such an area. I would consider Red Bird of Paradise (Caesalpinia pulccherima), Yellow Bells (Tecoma stans), Firebush, Perennial Hibiscus (varieties like Lady Baltimmore, Flare, Moy Grande, and the Luna series).
