Hi my yard has been over taken by clovers and I think its realated to clover but it is a vine under the grass and I pull it up but it grows so fast I can't keep up. I tried a weed killer but it seems to have grown faster and did not kill any of it any advice would be helpful Thank You |
Based on your description, I am not certain whether the problem plant is actually a clover or something else such as oxalis. I would suggest you consult with your local Rutgers extension for help in identifying the weed and deciding how best to control it. Sometimes improved turf management and care will make the lawn grow vigorously enough to outcompete weeds, other times a chemical control may be needed. They will have the most up to date information on what to use and how/when to use it for maximum results. In the meantime, you might be able to identify the weed using the Rutgers weed gallery at http://njaes.rutgers.edu/weeds... I'm sorry I can't be more specific for you long distance. |
