I have an ugly bear spot in my fescure lawn. What is the best way to patch it without resodding?

Charles,

You should be able to reseed the spot with fescue seed. Hoe aways any weeds and scratch the soil surface with a rake then scatter the seeds and water it in well. Keep the area moist until the seedlings are established well and have a good root system. Fescue seed will come up and grow best a little later in the year when summer is breaking and fall weather is starting to arrive.
