bermuda grass seed - Knowledgebase Question

I planted seed in june and now it has died so i planted rye with what bermuda i have left. please help bremuda is suppose to be hardy i dont understand

Robin,

Bermuda is tough once established but seedlings are very tender and need constant moderately moist soil and time to establish. Bermuda also needs LOTS of sun or it won't do well. I would try planting bermuda again and keep the seeds watered often and lightly for a few weeks. Don't fertilize until at least 4-6 weeks after planting and then only lightly.
