The Q&A Archives: nematods in my soil

Question: i have been infected with nematodes some years ago, and snce i have not been able to plant my tomatoes in the ground, when i try and grow them in a 2-3 gal bucket they don't do well after about the first month, and can i plant tomatoes now as hot as it is? thanks wayne

Answer: Wayne,

I would increase the container size to at least 5 gallons for a tomato plant. I think this will help a lot. Maintain even soil moisture and fertilize every week with a soluble plant food such as Miracle Gro or Peter's. You can still plant a tomato now for a fall crop if you don't delay.

Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon!
