The Q&A Archives: caterpillars on apple trees

Question: small white fuzzy caterpillars ate the leaves off my apple trees which are only one year old.
What should I do?

Answer: I can't identify the caterpillars based on your description, but Bt (bacillus thuringensis) sold as Dipel will kill caterpillars. If your tree is healthy it will produce new leaves to replace those lost.

Best wishes with your tree.
