What do I do in the winter time when the hibiscus plants lose thier leaves? Do I cut the stalks that are left down or leave tham alone. |
You can leave the plant alone and it will eventually reach 8' tall by 5' wide, or you can selectively prune only a few of the branches, or you can cut the plant down to just above ground level and it will resprout in the late spring. Hardy hibiscus (also called Rose of Sharon) will take any kind of pruning. |
