I have a dwarf sunflower that was in a pot with no directions. It is a very sorry looking plant. The top flower has curled up and turned brown as have the unopened buds on the stem. Do I cut off the top flower and deadhead the buds? Will it come back? Is this a perrenial? Thank you

Marilyn,

I can't know for sure the specific species of plant you have but if it is a standard sunflower, just a dwarf type I would not expect it to rebloom, even if you deadhead it.

Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon!
