The Q&A Archives: pesky rabbits

Question: What is a humane way to rid our plant and vegetable garden of rabbits that for the first time in 25 years are eating our very big garden beans lettuce daylilies etc. thank you.........

Answer: You might try pepper wax spray (on the plants) or a spray on or granular repellent labeled for rabbits. Follow the label directions for application and reapplication. Some gardeners report that sprinkling dried blood meal around the plants helps deter rabbits. Another approach would be to fence the garden. The other possibility since they are eating daylilies is that you might have deer along with or instead of the rabbits? I hope this helps!
