We have a "corn plant" in our atrium that has out grown its space and has sprouted an aditional stalk, can we prune it, or do we need to transplant it? It's about 7-8' tall. |
If at all possible, I would leave the corn plant where it is. They are quite shallowly-rooted, and sometimes resist transplanting. If you must do something, you can try either trimming it or moving it. If it is very full on top, and there is more than one sprout of leaves, I suppose you could remove one. I'm afraid it would look kind of bare and unbalanced. If you decide to transplant it, do so carefully--they are large and awkward plants! |
