Hello:

I need help keeping birds & other pesky animals from eating my tomato's before they are ripe.

I have been told to put a netting over them, but isn't that too hot for them?

Help?? I need a solution because my plants are loaded with tomato's and I would like to keep the

Bird netting has half-inch to one-inch square holes so it shouldn't retain too much heat. You might even drive a few stakes in the ground and then drape the netting over the stakes to protect the tomato plants rather than just drape the netting over the plants. Do 4 stakes to form a box shape and drape the netting over to protect the plant.
