The Q&A Archives: Orchids

Question: Growing my orchids in a closed LANAI The folage is healthy and is getting limp,Mostly Phahlanopis,Have been blooming for months.

Answer: John,

There could be a rot disease affecting the stems or roots. It may also be an infestation of some sucking insects but you would have seen scale like things on the stems. I suggest you take a plant to your County Extension Office and see if they can identify the problem and if necessary prescribe an appropriate remedy.
