The Q&A Archives: japanesse maple drying down

Question: on may,I get a maple japanesse,We put water on it one day, other not,(That means, three or four days a week,) but now is dry.
could you recommend me something?
what I could do for my tree?

Answer: Rogelio,

Dig down 4 inches into the soil around the tree and feel the soil to see if it is very wet or dry. Let the soil get a little dry and then water with a good soaking. Keeping the soil too wet or letting it get too dry is bad for the plant. With all the rain you have been having it may be that watering it 3 days a week is way too much.
