What types of pots do geraniums do best in?

Geraniums will grow equally well in clay or plastic pots, as long as there is adequate drainage. Because they tend to like soil on the dryish side, I plant mine in clay pots. Clay pots wick water out of the potting soil rather quickly so if you're gardening in a hot location, you may want to use plastic pots, instead.
