Bougainvillea - Knowledgebase Question

When I took my bougainvillea's home, I did all the correct things, but the flowers dropped off and they are not blooming??? I have one regular hanging with beautiful leaves; one hanging with varigated beautiful leaves; and one on a trellis that looks like it is dying, but the stems are green. Please help me, I have followed all directions and I am getting frustrated and sad. I have treated with ortho systemic bug and disease and miracle grow at appropriate times. Please help me? Tks. Very strange. Bougainvilleas drop leaves as a response to stress. It could be that your plant dried out or more likely that the roots were kept too soggy wet. It could also be that a significant and sudden change in light intensity from the garden center to your home cause the drop. Maintain moderate soil moisture and take care not to overwater. Then give them some time and they should releaf and in time with good sunlight exposure they should rebloom.
