The Q&A Archives: Leaves drying & brown on Buttonbush

Question: I have 4 in pots, (2nd year) Some of the leaves are turning brown, curling at edges and drying up?
I know they like lots of water. I water every other day. Help

Answer: The symptoms are probably not lack of water but of a fungal disease or from windburn or sunburn. I'd pull the affected leaves off the plant and make sure there is good air circulation around you buttonbush. If more brownish leaves develop, you may want to use a garden fungicide. It won't fix the damaged leaves but will protect other leaves on the plant from developing the same problem.

Best wishes with your buttonbush!
