| My fig tree has white fuzz on some of it's leaves. What is it and what do I do to get rid of it? |
| It's almost impossible to diagnose a plant problem without seeing it, so I'll offer an educated guess. The white fuzz could be caused by the fungal disease powdery mildew if you can wipe it off with your finger, or downy mildew, if it seems to be firmly attached to the leaf. Since only some of the leaves are affected, you can simply pull them off the branches. There are fungicides available for fruit trees; be sure to read the label so you know the product is safe to use on your fig tree. Good luck with your landscape |
