The Q&A Archives: stonecrop

Question: will stonecrop do well in sandy soil that has yrs of pine needles mixed in with the sandy soil. This area gets afternoon hot sun

Answer: Sedum or stonecrop are highly adaptable plants. Their only requirements are fast draining soils (sandy soils are great) and lots of sunshine. The pine needles should not affect the roots of your new stonecrop plants.
