There are generalized plans in many gardening books, but planning a landscape involves not only what you see aboveground, but also the soil, drainage, topography, light and wind exposure you're working with. Better than a plan you can purchase is a FREE design service! Check out the one at Garden Escape's website (www.garden.com). You can also check with your county extension office (ph# 901/766-2946) - they probably have a low-cost bulletin on home landscaping to guide you in the process. Also, local nurseries often offer free advice as a sales tool. If you're looking for flower bed design, Burpee offers collections of seeds/plants along with a planting plan - check out pp. 47, 49, 51, 53 for examples. Hope this helps!
