WHAT IS THE BEST TIME TO MOVE MY OLD PURPLE PHLOX? SHOULD I CUT IT BACK FIRST? HOW MUCH? |
The best time to move and/or divide border phlox (Phlox paniculata) would be in either late fall after frost or in very early spring just as it begins to grow again for the season. You could also do it in early fall, if you do it then you would trim it back by about half. Mid to late summer is really not a good time to move it, the heat is too stressful. |
