| We purchased some Woodward Globe Arborvitae approx 2wks ago, when we purchase one it was truly green and healthy looking and now it's turning brown and old looking. We placed in ground correctly and put a fertilizer spike. What can we do to save the shrub or what did we do wrong? |
| Shrubs and trees often go through some transplant stress when they are installed in mid-summer. In addition to adjusting to their new homes, they are dealing with hot sunshine and hot air temperatures. As long as you keep your new plants watered, they should adjust. A deep soaking once or twice a week is better than frequent shallow waterings so be sure to water deeply but infrequently to help your shrubs adjust. Hope you see some improvement soon! |
