I obtained some hibiscus seeds & some parsley plants from North Carolina. What are the chances of successful growth in Pittsburgh Pa?

Both should be considered annuals in your cold winter climate. I'd save the seeds to plant next spring. The parsley plants can grow outdoors until this fall and then can be grown indoors on a sunny windowsill. Or, leave them in the ground and they will die off with the first frost of the season. But you can still enjoy the parsley; cut some of the parsley stems every few days and dry them. You can then put the dried parsley in bags or jars and use it in cooking all winter long.

Enjoy!
