The Q&A Archives: roses

Question: best planting time for roses in my area fall or spring

Answer: Container grown roses can be planted in either fall or spring. Early fall is best, but try to plant at least eight to ten weeks before the ground is expected to freeze up. Bare root roses would be best planted in early spring so they can wake up naturally with the season. The selection is sometimes better in the spring.
