The bottom leaves are turning brown on my tomato plants. Is it lack of water or heat?

It's normal for the oldest leaves, those lowest down on the plant, turn brown in mid-season. Your plants are busy developing healthy new leaves at the top of the plant and won't miss the lower ones.
