My back yard is very uneven. I almost twisted my angle walking back there. I have two big dogs that have their way with the yard. Do I have to get all the grass/weeds up before creating a great landscape? This sounds like it can be expensive and I have little to no money. Please advise.

Under the circumstance, I'd start small and build from there. If you clear the weeds from a small area and plant flowers, then train your dogs to stay out of the area (or fence the area), you'll have something pleasant to enjoy when you go out in the yard. As time and money allow you can create additional beds, again training your dogs to stay out. Over time you'll be able to create a beautiful back yard.

Enjoy!
