The Q&A Archives: Night blooming jasmine

Question: I love the smell of night blooming jasmine. Where can I purchase a plant and will it grow in my area?
Also, I pruned my rhododendron plant and now I am wondering if I killed it. It has brown stalks.

Answer: Night blooming jasmine or Cestrum nocturnum is not winter hardy in the Washington DC area but it can be grown as a container plant and brought indoors for the winter. If you are unable to find it locally, you could order from a catalog such as Logee's.
