landscaping - Knowledgebase Question

We are ready to do some major landscaping, the back of my yard has a slight hill, we are going to put up a retainer wall and fill it with red rock. There is sun out there all day, what do you suggest we plant out there that is hardy, I DO NOT have a green thumb, and i want it to look nice with color and be very low maintenace, thank you LOri

The University of Maryland has put together a brochure listing plants that grow well in your area, plus some basic information on low-water, low-maintenance landscaping. I think you'll find lots of helpful information if you visit their website:
