I have a bird of paradise plant that I brought with me from my last home. It was a beautifull. now it just look like and unkept shrub. Also a gardina bush that we have had for 3 years, moved it to different locations, and it won't flower much. Our area is very hot in the summer, but we have seen these same plants in other yards doing great. What should we do?

I suspect the climate is much different than in your other home. Plants take time to adjust and establish, but once they do, they should make up for lost time. If these same type plants seem to be thriving in other yards, they should do well for you, as well. I think a little patience is all you need at this point.

Best wishes with your garden!
