Asparagus densiflorus would be considered a summer annual outdoors in your gardening region. It is hardy to about 20F. If you grow it outdoors in the summer, you can bring it indoors for the fall and winter months and enjoy it as a houseplant. You can then take it outdoors in the summertime to enjoy outdoors. If you leave it outdoors during the cold winter months, it will die off.
