| Success with lawn grass requires good soil preparation and ongoing maintenance practices. I would suggest you start with running some basic soil tests to check fertility and soil pH. Then add fertilizer or lime as indicated by the test results. Seeding can be done in early September with excellent results. (This is the best time of year for seeding.) With good care, the grass should overwinter successfully.
