I just purchased a small Blue Boy Holly bush and noticed a green berry on it??? Is that normal or has he been mistakenly named?

A male holly should not have a berry on it, no. Sometimes the paired hollies are planted with a male and female in the same container to assure a pollen source -- but it is labeled as being a fruiting pair, such as the "Berri-Magic Kids Holly Combination" of Blue Girl and Blue Boy planted together, for example.
