I have beautiful spider lilies that as you know are bushy in the spring and die back and shoot up with a pink flower in August. They look kinda bare at the base..any suggestions on perennials that could be planted without disturbing the lilies? |
One of my favorites is the electric blue flowered Ceratostigma plumbaginoides as a low groundcover around them. Or, a silvery artemesia might look magical when the pink lilies bloom. Another interesting combination I have seen is sedums such as "Neon". Or, you could use an earlier blooming daylily with the lilies in between. I hope this gives you some ideas. |
