The Q&A Archives: dracraena spikes turning yellow

Question: What does it mean when the bottom spikes turn yellow?

Answer: It is normal for the lowest leaves on a dracaena to turn yellow and fall off. If only the oldest leaves are turning yellow, it simply means the plant has finished using them and is dropping them. Nothing to worry about.
