The Q&A Archives: sunflower seeds

Question: Can I plant seeds that I just harvested from my sunflowers that just finished blooming?

Answer: You can plant the seeds now, but there may not be enough summer weather remaining in the season for the plants to mature. You might want to dry them, then store them in a jar or baggie for planting next spring.
