I planted several salvias two months ago, and while they're growing (and spreading) like wildfire, some of them have their blooms dragging the ground. Am I supposed to stake them in order to keep them upright? Their stems seem like they can't support the top-heavy weight of the blooms. |
You won't need to support the plants upright. It's their nature to sprawl when young. As they gain strength they will hold their flower stalks more upright. Enjoy! |
