I'm really new to this, so you can call me a beginner. Basically, we are going to attempt to sell our house and I need to do something to our front yard/area. What types of plants are low maintanence, inexpensive and possible to plant now? |
I think you'll get the most bang for your buck if you purchase flats of bedding plants. Usually there are two dozen plants in a small flat and the going price is about 6 dollars. Lantana, ice plant, vinca, phlox and gazania are all in bloom now and available in flats. You can also sow seeds of dwarf sunflowers and marigolds in sunny beds and these plants will sprout and grow within a few weeks. Check out your local Home Depot garden center and you'll find all kinds of possibilities. Best wishes with your landscape! |
