I was told to put plenty of nutrasoft in the hole with my trees when I planted them. I noticed later that when this stuff got wet it got hard as a rock. Weems very odd to me, whats the good or bad that I did? It says on the bag you can fill in holes the dog digs with this.

Robert,

Nutrasoft is calcium sulfate or gypsum. I would not recommend you put so much in a planting hole and in fact in your soils there around Houston it is not really needed at all. That said I seriously doubt that it will do any damage to the plants you have already planted.
